Greetings to you…chosen by the Father, filled with the Holy Spirit, forgiven by the blood of Jesus…in the marvelous name of Jesus Christ – THE Risen Savior! Wow! What a beautiful Spring morning in the Kingdom, and what a way to enter the weekend! I trust that your week has been blessed and that you are looking forward to what God has in store for you in the days ahead. This morning I will be praying for you, asking Father to release health, strength, and a heart-happiness…may God send you someone you can bless and someone who will bless you…and may you experience “living hope”!
This morning God sent a couple of verses to ponder: Everything we could ever need for life and complete devotion to God has already been deposited in us by his divine power. For all this was lavished upon us through the rich experience of knowing him who has called us by name and invited us to come to him through a glorious manifestation of his goodness. As a result of this, he has given you magnificent promises that are beyond all price, so that through the power of these tremendous promises you can experience partnership with the divine nature, by which you have escaped the corrupt desires that are of this world. 2 Peter 1:3-4 TPT
Take a moment and read those words again…and if you are by yourself – out loud. They were written to believers, like us who were caught in very difficult life circumstances and needed a reminder that God’s grace is generous. As I pondered those words, I looked at one of my devotional flip-over calendars and the quote for today added a good perspective: We must be willing to get rid of the life we’ve planned, so as to have the life that is waiting for us. Joseph Campbell.
In reality that is happening in our lives right…we want to return to our old normal with all of the knowns and routines that gave us security. However, whether we like it or not, there is a new normal being created that isn’t comfortable and demands that we make changes and adjustments. It isn’t completely a matter of we don’t want to…we are not sure we know how or if we can. The Word declares …everything we could ever need for life…has been deposited in us by his (God’s) divine power. We can make it…transition to a new way of life…we have been doing so for the past year! The good news is that this message made a difference for Peter’s readers…after all we are here to prove it happened.
Something to think about…be blessed!
