Greetings to you in the wonderful, beautiful, and powerful name of Jesus Christ – THE Risen Saviour! What a morning…rather cool, damp, and dull , but – this is still the day that the Lord has made and we need to rejoice and be glad in it! …who knows, there may be something good coming our way. I trust that you have had a good week with many blessings and awarenesses of God’s care for you. Today I will be praying for you, asking Father to reveal Himself to you in ways that you will understand so that you can respond to Him…may God’s healing hand rest upon you today…may you experience unexpected peace and joy.
This morning I am encouraged by a verse of Scripture that illuminates another reason why there is a divine purpose for our personal suffering with life’s “stuff”. Hear this ‘word’ – All praises belong to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. For he is the Father of tender mercy and the God of endless comfort. He always comes alongside us to comfort us in every suffering so that we can come alongside those who are in any painful trial. We can bring them this same comfort that God has poured out upon us. – 2 Corinthians 1:3-4 TPT.
And so, I pray that I will not miss God’s purpose…coming alongside with comfort…because there is going to be someone who needs to hear how I made it through. I am going to be able to tell someone how God gave me comfort – understanding, peace, strength, joy, and love. Oddly enough all that I experience will be beyond my understanding which will give it even more credibility. God has a purpose for the suffering that comes into my life…and your life.
Now let me give you a quote…My dad used to say that “we should put the Word of God in us when we don’t need it, so that it will be there when we do.” – Joel Osteen. We are told that God’s Holy Spirit would bring to our remembrance the truths of Scripture when we need them (John 14:26)…and Holy Spirit cannot bring to our remembrance what isn’t there. We need to read God’s Word and put it inside of us.
Something to think about — have a blessed day!
