Greetings to you in the wonderful, powerful, and beautiful name of Jesus Christ – THE Risen Saviour! Let’s do something different this morning…go look out a window and see the sunlight, the blue sky, the trees moving with the wind ; open the window or patio door and feel the breeze, smell the fresh air ; let the warmth of the sunlight rest on your arm or face ; let your mind think about good things … now repeat after me – “This is the day that the Lord has made – we will rejoice and be glad!” or better yet – sing it out! Today I will be praying for you, asking Father to release a ‘breakthrough’ in your life – a divine encounter, an unexpected phone call, a well-timed blessing, a sense of peace and health.
By the time you look at this ‘blog’ you should have received an email with a link to a video. I hope you enjoyed it and received a blessing – follow the guidelines of the Great Commission and pass the blessing along to someone else and you will double it!
There is an interesting insight to Jesus’ teaching in the 40 days before the Ascension. Listen to these words – Then Jesus appeared before the eleven apostles as they were eating a meal. He corrected them for having such hard, unbelieving hearts because they did not believe those who saw him after his resurrection. – Mark 16:14 TPT. Imagine that these men who had followed Jesus for three plus years, witnessing miracles. listening to life-transforming words, and seeing lives changed developed hard and unbelieving hearts towards those who were experiencing the resurrected Jesus.
In some ways that has been the story of the church through the ages and even today. Those who have a history with God are challenged when someone has a fresh experience with the resurrected Jesus…and yes, they can have hard, unbelieving hearts. Of course, these individuals need to be corrected by Jesus…it is called a “humbling” experience. Jesus uses “humbling” to bring a fresh understanding and a new dependence upon Him.
I have a belief that in the midst of these pandemic days of isolation God is doing some “re-creative” work in the lives of Christ-followers. I believe that the faith of many a believer is being tested and evaluated and corrected. Don’t be afraid to accept the power of the resurrected Jesus in your life or the life of someone else who sees things and experiences things differently. Our God is on the move!
Something to think about – be blessed!
