A Church with a Heart for our Community

March 27th Friday

Greetings to you in the powerful, beautiful, and wonderful name of Jesus Christ – THE Risen Saviour! The Bible declares – …his mercies begin fresh each morning – Lamentations 3:23 therefore the Psalmist rightly shares his counsel – This is the day that the Lord has made we will be glad and rejoice in it – Psalm 118:24. So, it is a ‘proper thing’ to remind you in every blog to do so. I trust that you have been blessed this week in fresh ways each day through his Word, through devotional times, through music, through interaction with people, and through quiet times. Today I will be praying for you, asking Father to release a special healing touch on body-mind-spirit in such a way that you will recognize His presence and that you will find a supernatural courage to face the day.

Today I am thanking God that on ‘new release Friday’ there are a good selection of new songs to listen to…in fact, an album that I had pre-ordered arrived in my ‘download file’. I have discovered, thanks to God, a new group – Rend Collective, a band of young adults from Northern Ireland. I think I will send one of their songs to you via a link on the prayer email. One of the songs that caught my attention is entitled – Sing It From the Shackles – and uses some powerful lyrics to convey the message of hope for a time like we are enduring.

From the chorus come these words: When my heart needs a miracle-You will come through-You’re my Deliverer-My answer through it all-When my strength and my fight is gone-I know You will come through..if you listen to it via the link, I believe you will catch the energy and encouragement.

This morning in one of my readings, I was asked the question, “when you listen to someone singing a song or sharing a quote or posting on social media do you ever wonder if they are living out what they are singing-quoting-posting?” And then – “what about you?” Well let me tell you that my heart needs a miracle and I believe that He will come through! Yes, I believe that I can sing from my shackles that He will come through!

Something to think about – have a blessed day!
