A Church with a Heart for our Community

October 18th Friday

Greetings to you in that most wonderful and powerful name…Jesus Christ – THE Risen Saviour! Another lovely autumn morning in the Kingdom…a day full of opportunities and divine moments, a day to give God our worship in our own unique way, and a day to appreciate His presence in the lives of those around us. I trust that you have had a really good week as you are beginning the transition to a new season. Today I will be praying for you, asking Father to release a fresh anointing of Holy Spirit joy, comfort, peace, and insight to you…and may He renew your strength!

Yesterday was a small gathering of pastors from our community having lunch with the Gideons – Canada  representative for our area. We not only had a good lunch and conversations but we learned about new directions in ministry of the Gideons. It was quite an informative time and encouraging to hear how a mission-based  ministry is redefining itself to meet the current challenges. The Gideons have been around since 1899 and have touched a good many lives…and want to do more. They are a ministry that works across denominational barriers to create a positive unity.

Interestingly enough this small gathering is an example of what the fourth prophetic proclamation says: This new season will be a time of sacred assemblies and consecration. Out of need, their will be a movement of unity where there will be city-wide, province, and national gatherings to seek the face of the Lord. There will be more public rallies of repentance and prayer combined with the call to “GO therefore” over the next three years and beyond than in any previous time in church history. I can hear the Lord saying to us: “Consecrate yourselves, for tomorrow the LORD will do amazing things among you.” – Joshua 3:5 NIV.

I am excited about the coming weekend…gathering together for food – fellowship – laughter – worship – and to see what amazing things God is going to do amongst us.  Just a little something to ponder —  be blessed!
