A Church with a Heart for our Community

September 25th Tuesday

Greetings to you in the name of the One who longs to transform your ordinary into extraordinary, Jesus Christ – THE Risen Saviour! What a grand day this is,,,a day prepared for us by the Lord! Let us find every opportunity to rejoice and give Him our thanksgiving! I trust you had a really good weekend and Monday – receiving His grace and mercy in a multitude of ways. Today I will be praying for you, asking Father to release a healing touch to you…physically, spiritually, emotionally, and mentally – and may you abound in His shalom-peace!

Yesterday was our Monday noon-hour prayer time – The Cry,,,for our city and county. Over the past weeks there has been a growing intensity of intercession…as it we are sensing a shift in the atmosphere. We usually spend thirty minutes or so in worshipping through music and song and often as God directs the selection of songs, He creates an agenda. Yesterday was no different – we sang a particular, I believe, group of songs: I Belong to Jesus – Hope and Glory – Right Now – Rain Dance – the King is Coming.  It was the song – Rain Dance – that seemed to inspire “cries” to God for “spiritual rain” . Scriptures dealing with rain were read – in particular Zechariah 10:1 where the prophet instructed the people to pray for rain. So we prayed for rain! and last night the physical rain began to fall – therefore, I believe the spiritual rain is coming our way!!

This morning I am hearing an old chorus in my mind: Send down the rain O glory, send down the rain – Send down the Gospel rain – I want a revival in my soul, I want a revival in my soul, I want to be washed in the blood of Jesus, I want a revival in my soul – The glory of the Lord is coming down, When the saints begin to pray, Then the Lord will have His way, the glory of the Lord is coming down!

Please join me in praying for the “rain”!  Have a blessed day!
