A Church with a Heart for our Community

June 5th Tuesday

Greetings to you in the name of the one who has loved you before you even knew He was there, Jesus Christ – THE Risen Saviour! What a beautiful morning in the Kingdom! I know that very day is a day that the Lord has made…but some days it seems that He out-performs himself. I trust that you enjoyed your weekend and Monday…and  were blessed in a way that is unique to you. I will be praying for you, asking Father to revel to you a glimpse of His presence around you and help you understand His grace and mercy in great dimensions.

I have had ‘triplets!‘ … that is, God sent three affirmations to me. As you know I am part of a prayer group that has been meeting weekly for over eleven years and the focus has been on revival and awakening in our community. It seems that there isn’t, or at least has not been, an answer. I must confess that I was getting a little discouraged and wondering if I was going in the wrong direction. So late last week God began to lead me back to where I started in my approach to “R & R” – renewal and revival. Than God sent me a ‘set of triplets’ – simple affirmations that He knew I would recognise. He likes to make sure that He is touching our spiritual ears and perceptions.

First – a televised sermon that addressed the vision, and hearing, of Elijah – “I hear the sound of a heavy rainfall…I don’t see it, but I hear it” … and he persisted in his walk with God and belief in the mission he had been given by God.

Second – as I was heading to prayer time yesterday I saw one of my neighbours. We haven’t really had any conversations, just a ‘nod of the head’ sort of thing. However, he paused for a moment – looked at the gray sky and said – “I can feel rain in the air!” So, off to prayer time believing that God was trying to tell me something beyond a sidewalk weather forecast.

Third – this morning I get an email newsletter from a Christian ministry in Texas. The subject line says: “I feel revival in the air!”  The atmosphere is changing and the climate is changing along with it.

It seems that God is challenging me to humble myself before Him and seek His face – turn away from my grumbling and murmuring … He is still in control!

Have a great day…it feels like ‘rain’!
