Greetings to you in the name of the One who by His own blood has washed all our sins away, Jesus Christ _ THE Risen Saviour! Wow! What a beautiful morning in the Kingdom! and such a promising beginning to the last weekend of May. The first day of summer is less than one month away….and in seven months…it will be Christmas Day! I trust that you have had a really good week – enjoying your blessings, working on your to-do list, sitting outside, and sharing life with family & friends. Today I will be praying for you, asking Father to reveal the beauty of the love He has for you…He really, really loves you!
Last night was – Encounter – a night of praise, prayer, and waiting on God – at a local church. It was a special night as we had a guest speaker who was sharing an approach to: Effective Witnessing For Everyday People. I was glad that LIndsey and I went. I believe we learned a few new insights and received affirmation from God as to our own personal approach.
This morning God sent me a few quotes to encourage and instigate moments of pondering. I want to share theses quotes with you…after all if they are good for me they might just be good for someone else. So, First one: In those times I can’t seem to find God, I rest in the assurance He knows how to find me – Neva Coyle. Do I hear an “aha!”
Second: Love is magical. It’s a laughing that the deaf can hear, a song that the crippled can dance to, and a sunset that the blind can see – from an Irish devotional calendar, May 25th.
Third : “Love your neighbor,” Curry preached, his voice rising with emotion. “Love the neighbor you like and the neighbor you don’t like. Love the neighbor you agree with and the neighbor you don’t agree with. Love your Democrat neighbor and your Republican neighbor, your black neighbor and your white neighbor, your Latino neighbor and your LGBT neighbor. Love your neighbor! That’s why we’re here!” – Rev. Michael Curry.
Have a great weekend and enjoy the blessings!
