Greetings to you in the name of the One who seeks and saves the lost, Jesus Christ – THE Risen Saviour! What a beautiful Spring morning in the Kingdom – as the saying goes…God is good all the time and sometimes He is even better! Today I will be praying for you, asking Father to release any negative thoughts and/or lingering doubts from you so that you can experience all that is available to you from His hand.
I have been pondering…I like to ponder…a sentence from a Christian leader who had an intimate time with God. Among other things that he sensed God speaking about, the writer states: The Lord wants to create an atmosphere of awe, wonder, and fear of the Lord. This is not a new ‘word’ from God as far as I am aware, as I have heard this being spoken for three or four months now but it is the timing – just after Pentecost. I am wondering if it is significant because of the “Pentecost is over, let’s get back to business as usual” attitude. I have a sense that we have reached an acceptable level of Christianity – we’ve got our $3.00 worth of God and we are comfortable.
So, yesterday I received a new song entitled: “Stir A Passion” – and as I listened to it, I was struck by the words that were being sung: Stir a passion in my heart God – Let it overflow, let it overflow … Breathe on me, Holy One – Come reveal Your wonder now – Open wide my eyes to see – There is so much more — Worship Central. I think that we instinctively know this to be true but that has not transformed us. I think we are a very dispassionate people. So, I pray to God and say – If you want to create an atmosphere of awe-wonder-fear of the Lord then please stir a passion in my heart.
Have a blessed day!
