Greetings to you in the name of Jesus Christ – THE Risen Saviour! and – “Happy Robbie Burns Day!” to all who carry a sense of the “Scot” in you! I trust that you having a good week and are aware of God’s gracious presence in and around you.
Let me share a word from Robbie Burns: I pick my favourite quotations and store them in my mind as ready armour, offensive and defensive, amid the struggle of this turbulent existence. Ponder that for a moment … now let me give you a series of ‘words’ that came to me this morning. First, Know the importance of the season you’re in and a wise son you will be. But what a waste when an incompetent son sleeps through his day of opportunity. – Proverbs 10:5 TPT.
Second, At that time there was no king in Israel. People did whatever they felt like doing. – Judges 21:25 The Message
Third, But when it pleased God… – Galatians 1:15 KJV No matter how well we may know God, the great lesson to learn is that He may break in at any minute. Suddenly–God meets our life–“when it pleased God.” Keep your life so sonstantly in touch with God that His surprising power can break through at any point. Live in a constant state of expectancy, and leave room for God to come in as He decides. Oswald Chambers, ‘My Utmost For His Highest’.
I am going to let these three quotes be my ‘ready armour’ today. I believe God is poised to ‘break through’ in lives and circumstances around me.
Be blessed !
