Greetings to you in the name of the One who ‘ransoms – heals – restores – forgives’, Jesus Christ – THE Risen Saviour! Before we say anything else – This is the day that the Lord has made, let us rejoice and be glad in it – now, what an awesome day we have in front of us. I will be praying for you, asking Father to sing His song over you with good volume so that you will hear the words – “you ____________(put your name in the blank) are my beloved!”.
Two more big sleeps until Canada Day – 150 years since, after a time of prayer, the Fathers of Confederation who were gathered in Charlottetown signed on the dotted line and the country of Canada began to evolve. If you have been reading the papers or internet or watching TV or listening to the radio – there are all sorts of “150 lists” and I thought it would be good to do our own “150 list”.
So let us start off with…the top 150 Bible verses that Canadians treasure…then the top 150 favourite hymns. How are you doing? Okay, now the top 150 sermons that you have heard in the last 150 years. Next the top 150 divine moments you have experienced or the 150 answers to prayer. I think I hear someone saying…”that’s not fair, I haven’t been keeping record of those kind of things!”
It says in the Bible…by the way that is in my top 150 books I have read in the last 150 years list…O my soul, bless God. From head to toe, I’ll bless his holy name! O my soul, bless God, don’t forget a single blessing! He forgives your sins – every one [not just the top 150]. He heals your diseases – every one. He redeems you from hell – saves your life! He crowns you with love and mercy – a paradise crown. He wraps you in goodness – beauty eternal. He renews your youth – you’re always young in his presence. Psalm 103:1-5 The Message.
Don’t forget that you have your own unique ‘spiritual history’ … and it is significant because it impacts our children and our grandchildren and our great grandchildren and our great great grandchildren…Psalm 103:17-18. Your faith is vitally important!
Something to ponder – be blessed!
