Greetings to you in the name of ‘the Chain Breaker’, Jesus Christ – THE Risen Saviour! What a beautiful morning after the stormy evening – God sure knows how to ‘make’ great days for us to enjoy and praise him for! I trust that you enjoyed your weekend and Monday. I must say that there has been many testimonies spoken in reference to God answering prayers and touching lives. Today I will be praying for you, asking Father to encourage you and strengthen you in ways that you will understand…and then respond to.
This morning I am thanking God for all…hundreds at least…of ways that God touches my life – and yours as well. I acknowledge that God is more active in our lives that we even realise. Someone has said that there are 5000 or more promises from God to us in the Bible. I am aware of many of the ‘big’ promises but there must be several thousand that He keeps that I don’t even notice. So I am learning to simply say “thank you” for all that I didn’t see or understand or took for granted. I guess I am a little like Jacob in Genesis 28…”God was in this place and I didn’t know it.”
Imagine, if you will, that of those 5000+ promise that God makes to us…For the Son of God, Jesus Christ, who was preached among you…was not “Yes” and “No,” but in him it has always been “Yes.” For no matter how many promises God has made, they are “Yes” in Christ…2 Corinthians 1:19-20a NIV. Therefore God is the most positive person in our lives…and as such we must always take “yes” for answer from Him. Now, accepting that truth should make me, inspire me, encourage me…to have a more positive outlook in any circumstance that comes my way.
This idea is really exciting to me since at the beginning of the year, God directed me to a ‘travelling’ promise for our church family as we journey through the days of this year…Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know. Jeremiah 33:3 NIV. I am making a renewed decision to accept that promise for me and my house for the days that are ahead.
Something to consider – be blessed!
