A Church with a Heart for our Community

September 4th Wednesday

Greetings to you in the wonderful, powerful name of Jesus Christ – THE Risen Saviour! What a delightful morning after last evening’s rain…and the air is so fresh. Isn’t God amazing?  I can understand how the Psalmist could declare – From the rising of the sun to the going down of the same – the name of the Lord shall be praised! – Psalm 113:3. and I can appreciate the song writer penning the words – There is sunshine in my soul today-More glorious and bright-Than glows in any earthly sky-For Jesus is my light…O there’s sunshine, blessed sunshine-While the peaceful happy moments roll-When Jesus shows His smiling face-There is sunshine in my soul — Eliza Hewitt. Today I will be praying for you, asking Father to release “sunshine in your soul today” and that you will see the presence of Jesus as you travel through the day.

This morning I was directed to a verse of scripture…let me share it with you: Never doubt God’s mighty power to work in you and accomplish all this. He will achieve infinitely more than your greatest request, your most unbelievable dream, and exceed your wildest imagination! He will outdo them all, for his miraculous power constantly energizes you.  Ephesians 3:20  TPT. As I read that verse and let it “percolate” in my heart a song that we sang at Monday prayer-time started to make even more sense to me. The song was entitled – Way Maker, and it was a new arrangement…but the words seemed to be a hope-filled declaration. The words go like this: You are here, moving in our midst-I worship You-You are here working in this place-I worship You … You are the Way Maker, Miracle Worker, Promise Keeper-Light in the darkness, my God, that is who you are …You are here, touching every heart…You are here, healing every heart…You are here, turning lives around-You are here, mending every heart – I worship You …Even when I don’t see it, You’re working-Even when I don’t feel it, You’re working-You never stop, You never stop working….O. Sinach and Leeland Mooring.

ne.It was good to sing it on Monday, but today after reading the Scripture verse…it is even more powerful and incisive. To add to the experience this is not simple three verses and a chorus twice arrangement…it is a dwell in His presence and declare as you sing one. I sense that God wants me to take the chorus – “You are Way Maker, Miracle Worker, Promise Keep – Light in the darkness, my God, that is who You are” – and let it reverberate in my being today. I believe and declare that God is up to something! … maybe for me and maybe for you and maybe for my church family.

A little something to ponder – be blessed!
