Greetings to you…anointed and highly-favored child of God…in the wonderful, beautiful, and powerful name of Jesus Christ – THE Risen Savior! What a beautiful autumn morning in the Kingdom, and yes! – this is the day that the Lord has made for us and we will be glad and we will rejoice in it! I trust that all is well with you and that the month of September has been good to you and for you, The month of September for many reasons is the beginning of a new season and of necessity it is the end of another one. This morning I will be praying for you, asking Father to assist you in letting go of anything that is not needed for the next steps of your journey…may you experience His grace and mercy and healing touch…may He release His peace that is beyond your understanding.
This morning in my devotions God gifted me with two portions of Scripture and two quotes to ponder…and to share. The first verse – came from a Psalm that has a powerful verse in it, but the verse He gave was “new” to me…well, I never paid attention to verse 1 because verse 10 is so powerful…God, you’re such a safe and powerful place to find refuge! You’re a proven help in time of trouble–more than enough and always available whenever I need You. – Psalm 46:1 TPT (you know what verse 10 says). The theme of the second verse, I was singing at Monday’s prayer time and didn’t know, so He had to reveal it to me…My life, my every moment, my destiny- it’s all in your hands. – Psalm 31:15a TPT. The words we were singing on Monday…I will praise the mighty name of Jesus-Praise the Lord, the lifter of my head-Praise the Rock of my salvation-All my days are in His faithful hands – Jocelyn Brown.
Now for the quotes, I won’t make any comment about them, but let the Lord do His thing with them. First – There had to be a Savior because we have no ability whatsoever to save ourselves. We can escape situations, locations, and relationships, but we cannot escape ourselves. We cannot run from who we are, what we have done, and what we deserve. The only hope is that God in redeeming love and glorious grace will move toward us, doing for us what we cannot do for ourselves. – Paul David Tripp, New Morning Mercies. Second – …to deny the sins of the past is to be blinded by pride…My close friend Pastor Jack Hayford says, “I can’t accept the beautiful things from my heritage without accepting responsibility for the failures of my heritage. – Rabbi Yechiel Eckstein, Holy Land Moments.
A few things to ponder…have a blessed day!
