A Church with a Heart for our Community

September 2nd Wednesday

Greetings to you – chosen by Almighty God in the amazing name of Jesus Christ – THE Risen Saviour! Another hand-crafted late summer morning in the Kingdom – rejoice and be glad in it…for there are undiscovered blessings waiting for you! I trust that you are entering into this new month with positive expectations and with a particular emptiness…having left behind that which is not needed for moving forward. Today I will be praying for you, asking Father to speak – softly and tenderly to you …and that He would release a measure of fresh energy (Isaiah 40:28-31).

I have been enjoying attending a conference in Nashville, Tennessee … a virtual conference that is! I am thanking God for the power of technology that puts me in touch with attendees from sixty countries, with guest speakers and musicians who have inspired fresh ideas and affirmed things being done, and introduced new resources. There have been some live events mingled with prerecorded sessions and much will be available for viewing at a later date.

Much of the content has been focused on ministry in the time of Covid19. Yesterday I heard from ministry leaders in Australia, Japan, Argentina, Africa, and America – how they have been responding and what their challenges are. I listened to an interview with J.I. Packer who was slated to be a speaker but passed away in July just shy of his 94th birthday. He was insightful and passionate in addressing his topic. A very special presentation was on “Praying the Word into Suffering” – which was watched twice.

The overall theme of the conference is – singing and worshiping God’s Word. Today is the last day and the focus is on ‘The Word and the World’. I am so blessed to be able to have this opportunity to learn and relearn and to be refreshed.

May you have a blessed day!
