A Church with a Heart for our Community

September 22nd Friday

Greetings to you in the name of the One who declared that the ‘harvest’ is ready, Jesus Christ – THE Risen Saviour! What a lovely September morning that God has given to us! I trust that you have had a good week in the Kingdom – interacting with family and friends, experiencing a myriad of tiny delights that made you smile, and moments of quiet reflection where God whispered to you. I hope you are looking forward to the weekend – meeting God in all the familiar places and being surprised where He turns up. I will be praying for you today, asking Father to invade your space with His presence with healing, encouragement, correction, and compassion.

This morning I want to share a word of prophecy that resonates with my heart. we are coming into a season of revival where the outpouring of His Spirit will cleanse His Body and begin to initiate us into new places and revelatory truth that we have not seen before. We will, also, be shown truths that have been given to us many times before and ignored.

I have been pondering this word for a day or two now, wondering what sort of response God is looking for. This morning, for the third or fourth time at least, God is pointing out: Come near to God and he will come near to you. Wash your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded. Grieve, mourn and wail. Change your laughter to mourning and your joy to gloom. Humble yourselves before the Lord and he will lift you up.. – James 4:8-10  NIV. Get close – get focused – get serious – get surrendered …

I am going to leave it there … something to think about over the weekend – enjoy His blessings!
