A Church with a Heart for our Community

September 17th Thursday

Greetings to you – dearly loved children of Almighty God – in the powerful name of Jesus Christ – THE Risen Saviour! What a lovely morning in the Kingdom – sunshine and blue skies and a good breeze. I trust that you had a good night’s sleep and woke with a “looking forward to what this day will bring my way” attitude. Today I will be praying for you, asking Father to speak simply and clearly to you…to call you by name…to reveal His grace and mercy to you in tangible ways…to be your “Fortress” and “Resting Place.”

This morning I want to expand my normal introduction with this reflection on the words…This is the day the Lord has made’ we will rejoice and be glad in it. – Psalm 118:24 NKJV. “As we open our eyes each morning, God sets before us a priceless present. Unique, fresh, and full of potential, each day God gives us time. “Rejoice!” the psalmist says. Has God granted you another day? “Rejoice and be glad in it!”… With each new day, God gives us time as a gracious gift. Rejoice! – Alicia Britt Chole.

Earlier in the week I was reading a prayer at the end of a devotional reading and a phrase caught my attention. I have been pondering it and thought I would share it with you…and we could “ponder” together. Here is the phrase…“I give you all that I am and all that I’m not.” It seems very simple, but don’t rush away from it…ponder it! We have been conditioned to give God all that we have…but what about what we don’t have? What does that mean to me…to you? I think that I will leave that thought for today.

Have a blessed day!
