A Church with a Heart for our Community

September 11th Friday

Greetings to you – “apple of God’s eye!” – in the wonderful, powerful, and transforming name of Jesus Christ – THE Risen Saviour! What a beautiful morning in the Kingdom…a great start to a weekend of late summer adventures. I trust that you have had a good week with laughter, peace, and encouragement…and you are anticipating God’s ‘suddenlies’ to be strategically placed on your path. Today I will be praying for you, asking Father to be the lifter of your head – your sustainer – your refuge from the storm.

We have been reading through the book of Proverbs…once again and finding a few new thoughts to ponder. This morning a verse caught my attention and initiated a series of discoveries. The verse says…The spiritually hungry are always ready to learn more, for their hearts are eager to discover new truths – Proverbs 18:15 TPT. You remember that it was Jesus who told the crowds…blessed are those who hunger and thirst after righteousness for they will be satisfied – Matthew 5:6. It seems that ‘spiritual hunger can be a good thing.

Then, God lead me to a good quote: you must have a room or a certain hour of the day or so where you do not know what was in the morning paper…a place where you simply experience and bring forth what you are, and what you might be…At first you may find nothing’s happening…But if you have a sacred place and use it, take advantage of it, something will happen – Joseph Campbell.

Since this is new music Friday I find myself drawn to a verse – not new, but it reminds me of a truth for when I am spiritually hungry and thirsty: I know a place where sins are washed away-I know a place where night is turned to day-Burdens are lifted, blind eyes made to see-There’s a wonder-working power in the blood of Calvary.

A little something to ponder…have a great weekend and receive His blessing!
