A Church with a Heart for our Community

October 24th Thursday

Greetings to you in that wonderful and beautiful and powerful name of Jesus Christ – THE Risen Saviour! Another autumn morning to enjoy and appreciate as gift from our Father, the Great Designer and to praise Him with thanksgiving…for He does all things well! To use a little quote – “Aren’t you glad that you got a wake-up call this morning?” I wonder what this day will bring our way, what kind of adventures we will experience, and what sort of surprises we are going to encounter? Today I will be praying for you, asking the Father to release to you a good measure of fresh anticipation and a good amount of extra energy and a generous dollop of patience and a heaping measure of joy.

I did it again and I don’t even know how…or why. I put together yesterday’s blog, a clicked on the ‘save’ button and then the ‘publish’ button and…like magic it disappeared. This morning I am going to try again – perhaps the best part of this is that I can repeat myself and you won’t even know. Yesterday I cam across a cd/album that had been released about three weeks ago and somehow I missed it…and it was from one of my favourites. The title of the album is titled – “I Speak Jesus” and is performed by a group called – ‘Here Be Lions’…they do a good selection of strong spiritual warfare songs. The title track is – ‘I Speak Jesus’ and is simply prayer that they do before any public performance.

The song was a good discovery yesterday before I shared the sixth prophetic proclamation, and even though this is Wednesday’s word, I think it will fit in on Thursday quite nicely. Here are some of the words of the song: I just want to speak the name of Jesus-‘Til every dark addiction starts to break-Declaring there is hope and there is freedom…I just want to speak the name of Jesus-Over all fear and anxiety-To every soul held captive by depression…Shout Jesus from the mountains-And Jesus in the streets-Jesus in the darkness over every enemy-Jesus for my family-I speak the holy name…’Cause your name is power-Your name is healing-Your name is life-Break every stronghold-Shine through the shadows-Burn like fire.

The sixth proclamation says that the season ahead will a time when the Thief and the Robber are exposed and caught. There has been a ‘security breach’ in humanity and these two dark demonic entities have been working behind the scenes. The voice of the Lord is saying: “It is time for my revolutionary midnight riders to appear on the scene. They will shine the light in the darkness and expose the deeds of the darkness.” As I understand this, it means that God’s people need to put on the armour of God and start ‘standing’ – letting their light shine, letting their ‘saltiness’ affect their surroundings. We need to be more forceful in our prayers…like the words of the song – we need to speak the name of Jesus! Remember these words from Jesus: “A thief has only one thing in mind–he wants to steal, slaughter, and destroy. But I have come to give you everything in abundance, more than you expect–life in all its fullness until you overflow!” – John 10:10 TPT.

Just a little something to think about — be blessed!
