A Church with a Heart for our Community

October 22nd Thursday

Greetings to in the wonderful, beautiful, and powerful name of Jesus Christ – THE Risen Saviour! Today, it seems, God decided that our corner of creation needed a little “rinse” with rain water and so – “this is the day that the Lord has made and we will rejoice and be glad in it” ! I trust that your week is going well and that God has surprised you with His attention to details. Today I will be praying for you, asking Father to come along side of you and meet your needs – both, the known and the unknown – with grace and mercy and indescribable joy…and may He restore health and hope and expectancy within you.

This morning in my devotions I received a challenge and I thought tp myself…why not share it? So here it is: first, here is the launching point – Now, may God, the inspiration and fountain of hope, fill you to overflowing with uncontainable joy and perfect peace as you trust in him. And may the power of the Holy Spirit continually surround your life with his super-abundance until you radiate with hope! – Romans 15:13 TPT.  Second, wherever the word “you/your” is used put your name in that spot and make it your “go-to prayer” for the day…or the next seven days or month! By the way…a “go-to prayer” is the one that is prayed many times through a day as the need for it arises.

If you don’t relate to the above translation…then find the one that suits you…take the challenge! Interestingly enough God gave me a promise to go with this challenge…Behold, I will send my messenger (you/I), and he (she) shall prepare the way before me: and the LORD, whom ye seek, shall suddenly come to his temple, even the messenger of the covenant, whom ye delight in: behold, he shall come, saith the LORD of hosts. – Malachi 3:1. Amazing…He sends you and I as His messengers of hope, joy, peace, and power so that He can come into life situations ‘suddenly’ …Wow!

A little something to ponder…have a blessed day!
