A Church with a Heart for our Community

October 11th Thursday

Greetings to you in the name of the One who speaks with authority to the storms, Jesus Christ – THE Risen Saviour! What a lovely Fall morning in the Kingdom…can you sense the shift in the atmosphere? I believe we are going to be transitioning in the area of weather…and I believe there is a “spiritual” transition heading our way – make ready your heart! Today I will be praying for you, asking Father to release a spirit of expectancy upon you and to renew your spiritual hunger/thirst…He is ready to satisfy and fill you up!

Yesterday was our – praying for our church family gathering and then the video Bible study…we visited the Mount of Olives, gaining a few very significant insights. It was a good day…and while everything else was going on, God was doing His “thing” ! HE sent me a few more quotes and thoughts and prayers and Scripture…bread crumbs on the “highway to holiness”, I call them.

First, an article that was dealing with the unhealthy emotions: “Scientists tell us that resentment is the unhealthiest emotion there is,” he (Rick Warren) pointed out. “It always hurts you more than anybody else! Resentment will not change the past, and it won’t solve the problem. It doesn’t even make you feel better. In fact, it makes you feel worse.”

I have been studying a very interesting idea called – “the orphan heart” which is a position we find ourselves in, when we forget that we are powerfully loved by Father-God and are not accepting His love and acceptance. We put our son/daughter of the Father heart aside and lose our connection. During this experience we have an enemy called the “Father of Lies” who is more than willing to welcome us into his very uncomfortable, unwelcoming, and unfriendly world. We need to remember that we are not ‘orphans’ but ‘favoured sons and daughters’ of Father-God.

A verse of Scripture came my way that highlights what I believe to be true: You’ve (God) trained me with the weapons of ‘warfare-worship’; now I’ll descend down into battle with power to chase and conquer my foes.  Psalm 18:34  TPT and a prayer goes with it: My eyes will remain fixed on You, even when the crashing waves threaten to tear apart the boat. You teach me the ways of rest, so I can sleep through the storm. Even when I cannot sense Your presence, You are here with me. Your love steadies me. You strengthen me with joy that contradicts the chaos all around.  I believe in Your love and trust in Your goodness. The enemy doesn’t stand a chance when I fight from my knees with a worshipping heart. – Brian Simmons & Gretchen Rodriguez, Prayers On Fire.

Something to ponder…be blessed!
