Good Morning! Greetings in the “name that is above every name”, Jesus Christ – THE Risen Saviour! … and what a wonderful, what a beautiful, what a powerful ‘name’ it is! Well – thanks be to God for such a delightful morning in the Kingdom, the start of a day that He has designed for us. I pray all is well in your ‘small corner’ as it is in mine. Today I will be praying for you, asking Father to quiet your heart, still the anxiety in your mind, and restore your soul.
It seems that everywhere I turn, I am confronted by the phrase – “praise and thanksgiving”. I know that part of the reason is the recent Thanksgiving celebrations in the US, which includes the start of Christmas movie time. However I am aware that there is an underlying principle…I can only give praise and thanksgiving to someone I “trust”! I need to choose to trust God, to take my journey of faith one step at a time, and look at my life situation from His perspective … if I am going to thrive. I have learned and continue to learn that in all of the trials, disappointments, and challenging circumstances of my life…trust God, lean on God, rely on God, keep my focus on God, and keep praising-thanking Him.
One of our ministry friends says: Choosing an attitude of praise and thanksgiving is a small adjustment that can have a huge effect on the outcome of your life – Joyce Meyer. How well I know the affect of an attitude of ‘praise and thanksgiving’ on – “body, mind, and spirit”. An attitude of praise and thanksgiving promotes healing, creates peaceful sleep, affects personal relationships, and encourages purposeful living.
I agree with those folk who teach us to take a few positive statements and speak them to all of life’s circumstances. I choose to say – I believe and declare: I am more than a conqueror through Jesus Christ (Romans 8:37) … God loves me and has chosen me to be His child (Ephesians 2:4-5; 1 John 3:1) … I am a new creation in Christ Jesus (2 Corinthians 5:17) … God has brought healing and restoration to my life (Isaiah 61:1-3) … His plans for me are always good (Jeremiah 29:11) … His grace can enable me to face and handle every challenge I face (2 Corinthians 12:9) – thanks again to Joyce Meyer and Joel Osteen.
I have a belief that the more I thank God, the more I give Him praise, and the more I express my gratitude for what He is doing…the more I turn to Him and the more I expect of Him and the more He delights to ‘show-up and ‘show-off’.
Have a great day… be thankful!
