A Church with a Heart for our Community

November 25th Tuesday

Greetings in the name of the ‘forgiver and forgetter of all our confessed sins’, Jesus Christ – THE Crucified and Risen Saviour! I trust that you had a good weekend and Monday…enjoying all the benefits of being a child of the King! What a morning in the Kingdom! – strong winds, gray skies, and a slight chill in the air – I wonder what is going to happen next. I will be praying for you today, asking Father to walk alongside you and share his plans and purposes for you.

In reference to last Friday’s blog and keeping a record of your preparation for the start of Advent 2014,let me share a song. It has been said: Beautiful music is the art of the prophets that can calm the agitation of the soul; it is one of the most magnificent and delightful presents God has given us” – Martin Luther. This past Sunday, is response to what I sensed God directing, we sang a new song called – The Roar by Chris Tomlin. Let me share some of the words:  I waited for the LORD – He turned and heard my cry – His mercy opened up my eyes – When I couldn’t see – And my strength was failing me … Chorus: I heard the roar of the Lion of Judah – I heard the voice that calmed the raging sea – He came to me, came to me – When I needed the Lord – I heard the roar of the Lion of Judah … The song seemed to touch a deep place in our being and I believe that we heard, or sensed – ‘the roar of the Lion of Judah’ as He is preparing to do battle with the forces of darkness in our lives.

Well, that is my first entry  in my journal of Advent 2014. I hope that encourages you!  Be blessed!
