A Church with a Heart for our Community

November 20th Wednesday

Greetings to you n the wonderful name of Jesus Christ – THE Risen Saviour! Wow! another beautiful mid-Autumn morning in the Kingdom and God has promised to travel through this day with us! I trust that you are enjoying your week thus far and have had an assortment of God-touches to encourage and strengthen and cause you to wonder. Today I will be praying for you, asking Father  to release healing to body-mind-soul and may you know His provision.

There has been a lot happening over the past few days…A Youth For Christ banquet, our Sunday worship, the Monday prayer gathering (which was awesome), new carpet being installed in the sanctuary, board meeting, and computer/internet issues. However, in the midst of all that was going on God made himself known in surprising ways…so Praise The Lord!

Last week God gave me two verses of scripture to ponder. The first came in response to prayers that were being prayed for people in regards to healing and life issues. Then He added the second verse to highlight the importance of praying for our family and friends. First, a verse that is repeated twice … His (God’s) left hand cradles my head while his right hand holds me close. I am at rest in this love. – and the second time..We are at rest in this love. – Song of Songs 2:6 ; 8:3  TPT. Interesting…the tenderness and invitation of the left hand and the protective strength of the right hand – very powerful and personal image.

The second verse is from a moment in time when people were being attacked as they were re-building a wall…hard to concentrate and be productive if you have to have a sword in one hand and a hammer in the other. So to ease the situation, the leaders and the rest of the people wee instructed…“Don’t be afraid of the enemy! Remember the Lord, who is great and glorious, and fight for your brothers, your sons, your daughters, your wives, and your homes!” – Nehemiah 4:14 NLT God needs people to be “prayer warriors” fighting the enemy through intercession and worship — on behalf of others. God needs you and I to fight for others!

A little something to ponder … be blessed!
