Greetings to you in the name that can transform any person, any situation, any circumstance, any event…Jesus Christ – THE Risen Saviour! Another November morning that in spite of rain or wind or chill in the air was created by and given to us from our heavenly Father…so say “Thank You!” I trust that all is going well in your world and God is delighting you with his blessings. Today I will be praying for you, asking Father to touch your life in undeniable ways that you can identify and respond to.
There are two songs reverberating in my heart this morning. The first one has been with me since Monday prayer time. One of our intercessors shared an encounter with God that gave her hope for her family. In this encounter God released a song into her heart/spirit. The song lyrics are quite simple: And I stand, I stand in awe of You – I stand, I stand in awe of You – Holy God to whom all praise is due – I stand in awe of You – Hillsong Music. There is a beautiful verse that goes with this chorus that talks of God’s beauty and majesty. Since Monday every time I am faced with prayer concerns for family, friends, and myself – I am overwhelmed by the fact that I can enter the presence of God and share what’s on my heart. I find myself standing in his presence…in awe of His power and grace and goodness and love.
The second song arrived yesterday. I belong to a music website that send free songs to download and enjoy. They are often songs that have been around for a year or two, but on occasion I get a new song…a kind of promotional song from an upcoming album. Anyway the song touched my spirit and re-affirmed my faith. The title; God is always good and includes the words: You are constant and true-All my hope, found in You-Always faithful to do-What You promise…Through the dark, through the light-Flows a river of light-Through the storm, through the fight-Shines the promise…When I rise, when I fall-You remain Lord of all-You run to me when I call-What a Saviour…chorus: God is always good-Yes, God is always good-What I sing on the mountain, I’ll sing in the valley-That God is always good. – Covenant Worship.
God is always good…and I stand in awe of Him!…in awe of his goodness! – consistent, persistent, and insistent goodness. I stand in awe of Him!
