A Church with a Heart for our Community

May 2nd Thursday

Greetings to you in the wonderful name of Jesus Christ – THE Risen Saviour! What a lovely day in the Kingdom…and so far – no rain! I trust that you have been enjoying your week and finding ‘delights’ each day…have you met any people to share a conversation with? has anyone encouraged you/ have you brought a smile to someone? have you had an unexpected blessing? have you been singing a happy song for no particular reason? …oh, you have experienced a ‘delight’ or two. I will be praying for you today, asking Father to touch your body-soul-spirit-mind with “Spring” – renewal, refreshment, and brightness!

Today in the United States is “National Day of Prayer” and I have received many articles and comments about it. There is a website totally dedicated to the event. In fact there is a live-feed to the gathering available to those interested. On the official website there is a resource page that gives you a copy of the “National Prayer” that will be prayed, an outline on how to expand upon the theme, and how to pray into seven areas of influence. The theme this year is:”Love One Another” – the steering committee detected that there is a huge need for loving one another.

I won’t give you the entire prayer that will be prayed in assemblies across the USA today but I will share the main points from the outline, since I think that here in Canada there is a need to “love one another” as well. So here goes: [1] Pray for America (Canada) to love one another – [2] Pray for the church in America (Canada) to love one another- [3] Pray for families, workplaces, communities, and cities in America (Canada) to love one another – [4] Pray for all ethnicities and people in America (Canada) to love one another – [5] Pray we will love God and each other so much  that we will agree clearly, unite visibly, and pray extraordinarily for the next great spiritual awakening in America (Canada).

Interestingly enough the theme of “Love One Another” has been the mandate of the Church for some 2000 years now, I guess it is time to return to our roots…perhaps it is time for “REVIVAL”!!

Have a great day – be blessed!
