A Church with a Heart for our Community

May 24th Friday

Greetings to you in the wonderful name of Jesus Christ – THE Risen Saviour! What a beautiful morning in the Kingdom…and it is a Friday, so a weekend is coming! I know that are lots of weekend chores to handle…but there is going to be a worship gathering – we get to celebrate our faith and pray with our church family an d share fellowship time. Now, what is that old chorus: Get all excited-Go tell everybody that Sunday’s coming!…Get all excited-Go tell everybody that miracles are going to happen!…Get all excited-Go tell everybody that lives are being changed!…Get all excited-Go tell everybody to meet you there!…Get all excited-Go tell everybody that Jesus Christ is still the King of kings! Okay, maybe it didn’t go quite like that, but it sounds good! Today I will be praying for you, asking Father to lift your spirit, soften your heart, strengthen your body, and fill your thoughts with good things.

There is much happening in our world today, things that hard to comprehend, things that challenge your thinking, things that challenge your belief in the goodness of mankind, and even things that challenge your faith. However, we must never forget that God loves this world and that Jesus gave his life to meet the needs and dry the tears of this broken world. Regardless of all that challenges us… “He is the only Jesus; He is the only plan; He is the only life; He is the only help; but thank God, He has triumphed to the utmost. He heals all who come to Him.”  – Smith Wigglesworth.

We have two Sundays left before Pentecost Sunday…next Sunday is Ascension Sunday – time is crucial. We need to “watch and pray”…we need to worship…we need to keep our eye on the Eastern sky…we need to not get weary in serving the Lord…we need to keep our ‘spiritual armour’ polished…”Get all excited and tell everybody that Jesus Christ is King!”

Be blessed!
