A Church with a Heart for our Community

May 10th – Thursday

Greetings to you in the name of the one who sent us the Holy Spirit, Jesus Christ – THE Risen Saviour!  Another beautiful day in the Kingdom…with a cooler temperature and a bit of a breeze but with sunny delight. This morning I will be praying for you, asking Father to release an extra measure of hope into your circumstances mixed with fresh insight.

The next level or tier of prayer is the ‘small group’ one. Small group prayer, as the name suggests , usually takes place in Bible study, or a cell group or an accountability group. The level of intimacy and closeness will not likely be as intense as the personal and the intimate level. Small group closeness is usually determined by friendship, commitment, and trust. It may suffer at times with the make-up of the group and visitors who show up from time to time. There will still be a sharing of personal concerns but not likely in any depth. This can still be a powerful and transformative prayer time, as many issues can be addressed and with others involved fresh insights can be expressed.

It has been exciting and rewarding to be part of small group prayer times. They have released a different dynamic and have often been faith-building. If you get the opportunity to be part of small group ministry…do so with expectation, for someone quite important did say that when two or three gather in my name…I will be there!

May you enjoy the day that God has given you!
