A Church with a Heart for our Community

March 30th Wednesday

Greetings to you in the name of our ‘Never-Failing Friend’, Jesus Christ – THE Risen Saviour! What a beautiful morning in the Kingdom!  I trust that you had a blessed Easter Weekend…and Monday-Tuesday! – with special family times and outings and worship of the One who made it all possible. I don’t want to frighten you but — March is almost over, one more day, so are you ready for a new month? Have you taken care of all of March’s business so you are free to enjoy April? Today I will be praying for you, asking Father to strengthen you, give you wisdom, and extra energy.

“There are two ways to live your life. One is as though nothing is a miracle. The other is as though everything is a miracle.” – Albert Einstein. I am aware that I gave that quote to you a few weeks ago, but after the Easter celebrations it is good to be reminded. Here are a couple more: “Miracles are the retellng of the very same story which is written across the whole wide world in letters too large for some of us to see” – C.S. Lewis — ” I am a realist – I expect miracles” – Dr. Wayne W. Dyer — “Miracles are God’s way of letting us know that He’s there” -Christy Beam — “Miracles are everywhere. Miracles are goodness. Miracles are love. Miracles are God, and God is forgiveness” -Christy Beam.

Have you experienced a miracle over the last week or month? Have you noticed God’s presence in the “everydayness” of life? Do you even believe in miracles? Not everyone believes in miracles. Not everyone has a good working definition of miracle. The definition I like is that miracle is when there is no logical explanation for something that happened – a cheque in the mail, a word of kindness from someone, people getting along who usually don’t, your plans for the day or an event go off without a hitch, or ___________ .

In the movie: Miracles From Heaven, there is a conversation about miracles between mother and daughter as to why people don’t believe in miracles. The daughter makes this comment: “It’s okay Mom, not everyone is going to believe. That’s alright. They get there when they get there.” I think that is a good philosophy when dealing with family or friends who don’t believe in faith or miracles or even in God…it takes time for things to grow.

Something to ponder…be blessed!
