Greetings to you in the name of the ‘Great Shepherd of the sheep’, Jesus Christ – THE Risen Saviour! This is one of those ‘revival reminder days’ – you can sense the presence of ‘rain’ in the atmosphere, but I believe that it is going to be a good day! Today I will be praying for you, asking Father to bring someone into your path that needs to hear your witness to the power of Jesus Christ – it will benefit them and you at the same time.
Even as I wrote yesterday’s words a letter was on its way to the office. The letter was like a ‘battle report’ coming from a causality of the skirmish. A soldier had been wounded and been separated from the main force…(illness had been keeping a member away from corporate church gatherings). This made the person vulnerable to further attacks from the enemy and eventually elicited a decision to withdraw from the battlefield with the intention of resting-renewal.
Our enemy is so sneaky, he looks for those who, for whatever reason, are separated from the larger group and he attacks with precision, persistence. As believers, we need other believers in our lives, especially those who understand the ‘heat of the battle’. As the writer says: Be well balanced and always alert, because your enemy, the devil, roams around incessantly, like a roaring lion looking for its prey to devour. Take a decisive stand against him and resist every attack with strong, vigorous faith. For you know that your believing brothers and sisters around the world are experiencing the same kind of troubles you endure…1 Peter 5:8-9 TPT. I know that it is not easy but the enemy has to be resisted and stood up to…he doesn’t even need to be fought for he has been defeated.
So this morning if you have been separated from the larger group and in your isolation feel the hot breath of the enemy’s roar…get back with the others and together ‘resist and stand’! Remember we belong to the Lion of Judah!
