A Church with a Heart for our Community

July 17th Tuesday

Good Morning to you! and greetings in the name of the One who is the answer, Jesus Christ – THE Risen Saviour! Wow! what beautiful weather to start the day – we are so blessed! I trust that you had a good weekend and Monday…lots of time to ‘chill-out!’, do a few chores, enjoy the people in your life, and to spend  time with the Father. I will be praying for you today, asking Father to respond to your heart’s cry and accomplish what you think is ‘impossible’ and to remind you to not give up believing that He is able!

Let me tell you about three really neato-keeno blessings. First, on Sunday morning as we were singing our praise and worship to God there was a release of God’s power and presence. Yes, I know God is always present but there are times…like Sunday morning…when He seems to be more present. Our worship leader had chosen songs that flowed together to invite a divine encounter. It was beautiful. It reminded me of a new song I am learning, here are some of the phrases…There is power when we worship…we have come to seek Your face…and the atmosphere begins to change…and you swing  open heaven’s doors…you have us authority…to overcome our enemies…so every fear must bow its knee…there is power when we worship.

Second, yesterday was our noon-hour prayer gathering – The Cry! and we were praying according to Zechariah 10:1 – Pray to GOD for rain–it’s time for the spring rain-to God, the rainmaker, Spring thunderstorm maker, maker of grain and barley…The Message. So as we joined our prayers with countless others – the communion of saints took place and God, the rainmaker responded. As much as we need and want natural rain–we want to see ‘spiritual rain’ falling around us. Once again it is a song we sing…Showers of blessing, showers of blessing we need-Mercy drops round us are falling-Oh for the showers we plead.

Third, although this isn’t new release Friday…there was a new release anyway. The album is called – Love Song For A City by the artist…Martin Smith. It has thirteen songs on it that were recorded live in thirteen different cities from around the world. I have listened to the preview ‘cuts’ and it is going to be good. There’s something about a new music that stirs the soul.

Anyway…that’s my three blessings this morning and as I have shared them with you…God has multiplied their effect. Have a wonderful day…share your blessings with someone and let God multiply the effect!
