Greetings to you in the name of the One who is “the Way-the Truth-the Life” , Jesius Christ – THE Risen Saviour! What an interesting winter’s morning! Obviously it is a “given day” and we must accept it as a gift and enjoy it and find meaning in it. I trust that you had a good weekend and Monday–and that you are excited about the week that is before you. I will be praying for you, asking Father to release….health, strength, and a happy heart to you. May this year be a time of restoration, refocus, recalibration, refresh, and renewal.
Yesterday was the beginning of year 12 – The Cry…praying for the city…and it was a positive gathering. There reports of God’s supernatural activity and of lives being affected by divine presence.. This lead to powerful, praise-filled praying for city – our fellow citizens, the church family, and specific needs.
This prayer gathering is most often preceded by a time of praise and worship with music. I often arrive for this time without an agenda so that God can do the arranging of what He wants. Yesterday He prompted me to use a set of songs that we haven’t used in some time. They were songs from the late 19990’s and early 2000’s at the Toronto Airport. One song in particular caught our attention – it is always significant when God uses a song to release His message for our time of worship. We used the song: Keep coming Holy Spirit!…and we were challenged, I believe … to appreciate what God has been and is doing around us – to not get complacent about our prayer focus – to keep ‘storming’ the throne room of heaven – to keep urgently asking Holy Spirit to keep coming!
God has given me two verses of Scripture to guide me at the beginning of this year: “…increase is coming, so enlarge your tent and add extensions to your dwelling. Hold nothing back! Make your tent ropes longer and the pegs stronger…” Isaiah 54:2 PT – “…I have stationed intercessors on your walls who will never be silent, day or night. You “reminders” (those who pray God’s promises back to Him) of Yahweh, take no rest, and tirelessly give God no rest…” .I believe and declare that God is going to send and increase and that by prayer we must keep asking and reminding God about the promises he has given.
Just a little something to ponder…have a blessed day!
