Greetings to you – faithful follower, in the beautiful, powerful, and wonderful name of Jesus Christ – THE Risen Savior! What a beautiful winter morning in the Kingdom – surely this must be a “given day”! I know for sure that this is the day that the Lord has made, so I will rejoice and be glad in it. I trust that you enjoyed the “arrival” at the end of your Advent journey, took time to worship and relax and experience the mystery. Further, I trust that you are on a new journey, into a new year – hearing the call of the Shepherd saying, “Listen for my voice, follow me, I am the Way!” Today I will be praying for you, asking the Father to let you sense His ‘wrap-around presence’ in a significant way.
We have begun the 16th year of our Monday Noon Hour Prayer Gathering”…and our focus continues to be “revival!” I am aware that giving a word like that creates a bit of challenge, as it is like trying to define ‘beauty’ which as you know lies in the eye of the beholder. Revival, also, is in the eye of the beholder and conjures up an album of images and ideas. This morning, though, let me share what I believe “revival” means at the start of 2022: it is taking time to refocus on our destination, renewing our energies, and returning to the path that God has called us to follow.
This past year has been and continues to challenge us with the impact of covid19 and the myriad of responses and concerns associated with it. We are still trying to discover what our new “normal” looks like….and how we are going to adapt to it – we are not even sure if we want to! It seems like we have been sidetracked from what we were comfortable with. The need for “revival” is challenging us to – refocus, renew, and return.” I believe we need to pray – “God, remind me to trust in you, help me keep my eye on the destination, give me strength to take the next step and the next and the next…thank You for the promise of your Presence to guide and show light on our path!”
Have a blessed day!
