Greetings in the wonderful name of Jesus – THE Risen Saviour! Wow! what a beautiful winter’s morning! Yes, I know that it is chilly but isn’t that sunshine magnificent and even the blue in the sky looks ‘bluer’ and the white snow looks ‘whiter than white’. Today I will be praying for you, asking Father to bless you wiith – health, strength, and a happy heart!
Early this morning I heard it…a faint melody in the distance, and I wondered to myself – “what is it? what is it?” I decided to believe that it was, according to Zephaniah 3:17, – the Father’s song. I don’t think I have ever heard before, or if I did I did not pay close enough attention.
So I went about my morning, straining my ears to hear more but, alas, I heard nothing more. Then in the midst of my devotions, part of a prayer that I was reading caught my attention. Why don’t you have a read…and listen: I lie awake each night thinking of You and reflecting on how You help me like a Father – Psalm 63:6 TPT …Your tender care is seen in every living thing. I sense your nearness as I gaze upon the stars you set in place. I see your artistry in every rainbow and feel your glory in every sun-drenched sky…Under your splendor-shadow I sing songs of love throughout the night. As my head rests upon my pillow, I imagine lying safely upon your chest, snuggled up in the arms of my Father-God. Your strong hands steady me day by day.You draw me near, and with passionate pursuit I will run after you and never let you go.- Brian Simmons & Gretchen Rodriguez, Prayers On Fire.
Then, I turned over the page on my daily inspirational thought calendar to read: Peace with God brings the peace of God. It is a peace that settles our nerves, fills our mind, floods our spirit, and in the midst of the uproar around us gives us the assurance everything is all right. – Bob Mumford. I had never heard of Bob Mumford before so I went looking for information and found another quote: You know the words to the song. You know the song. You can hear the music. But you don’t know how to dance.
My response, strangely enough, were the words of a song…“Dance with me-Oh, lover of my soul-To the song of all songs-Romance me-O lover of my soul-To the song of all songs — Paul Wilbur. So, the next time you think you can hear – a faint melody in the distance – why not ask God to come close and dance with you!?!
Have a great day…and be blessed!
