A Church with a Heart for our Community

February 14th Thursday

Greetings in the wonderful name of Jesus – THE Risen Saviour! Happy Valentine’s Day! – We have come into an intimate experience with God’s love, and we trust in the love He has for us. God is love! …1 John 4:16a  TPT. Wow! another one of those – “This is the day that the Lord has made” days … are you rejoicing in it? I will be praying for you today, asking Father to let us hear afresh these words: “I have loved you with an everlasting love; I have drawn you with loving-kindness.” Jeremiah 31:3.

Last week I shared that there were five key prophetic words: Transition-Transformation-Presence-Power of Story-Suddenly. This week as I was preparing for Monday prayer time, God impressed upon me that the first word needed to be “PRESENCE” and I shared that with the intercessors so we could pray in that direction – “Lord, manifest your Presence in each congregation in our city.” I sensed that God was affirming His direction and word. However, God has not really let me alone  with this approach and this morning in my devotions I read these words: Only when we perceive the face of the One in whose image we were made do we come to know who we are and the One for whom we were mad. And because of who He is, to behold Him and remain unchanged is impossible. – Bill Johnson, Meeting God Face To Face.

The “Presence of God” is not something He sends to us but something we seek…and seeking we find…and finding we are transformed and being transformed we are transitioned into moments when He suddenly appears. It seems so important that He keeps sending me reminders through song, through ministry emails, through conversations, through written word. I think that is what the Psalmist meant when he says: My heart says of you, “Seek his face!” Your face, LORD, I seek. … I am still confident of this; I will see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living. Psalm 27:8, 13. We need to seek his Presence – we need to be still and know his Presence – we need to sing to his Presence – we need to pray in his Presence – we need to tell others about our encounters with his Presence – we need to live in his Presence.

Just a little something to think about – “Be Blessed”
