Greetings to you – accepted, forgiven, and empowered – through the wonderful, beautiful, and powerful name of Jesus Christ – THE Risen Saviour! What a lovely…rainy morning – in the Kingdom that God has designed for us, and we will rejoice and be glad in it! I trust that you have had a good week and have enjoyed the comfort and strength of God’s wrap-around presence. I pray that you are looking forward to the weekend and having an opportunity to gather to worship with “the family”. I know that things are a little awkward and it doesn’t “feel” quite the same but I have sensed God’s anointing. This morning I will be praying for you, asking Father to release healing, a renewed passion for life, and an abundance of energy.
This morning I am drawn to a few verses of Scripture – I have learned to be content whatever the circumstances…I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation…I can do all this through him who gives me strength – from Philippians 4:11-13 NIV. “Contentment” it seems is not something you are given or happens…it is something that you “learn”, it is an unfolding quality in your life. However, there is a secret…”contentment” is simply living every day enjoying God – who He is and what He gives!
This morning…being content for me is enjoying a few new songs on “New Release Friday”! There are two particular songs that grab my attention. First song – “House of Miracles” – by Brandon Lake, has these words/phrases…This is a house of worship-This is a place of praise- This is a place of healing- We bring everything to the feet of Jesus- I still believe You’re moving- I still believe You’re speaking- God I believe You’re working- God I receive Your vision … It feels good to sing…a little bit of energy.
Second song – “Gratitude” – with Brandon Lake, is a little quieter… “All my words fall short- I got nothing new- How could I express- All my gratitude- I’ve got one response- I’ve got just one move-With my arms stretched wide I will worship You- ‘Cause all that I have is a hallelujah- And I know it’s not much- But I’ve nothing else fit for a king …once again it feels good to sing!
The singer, Brandon Lake, is a new voice to me. He is a young father with an infectious smile, a good mind for writing, and a heart for worship. I think he displays a sense of learning to be content…he seems to enjoy God. I look forward to listening to more from him.
Are you enjoying God – who He is and what He is doing in your life? are you learning to be content? – have a blessed day!
