Greetings to you in the Name that commands the armies of heaven, Jesus Christ – THE Risen Saviour! What a beautiful day in the Kingdom! I trust that you have had a splendid week walking with God and enjoying his presence and being challenged by the places/people/circumstances He leads you to. Today I will be praying for you, asking Father to see you as – ” ‘His eyes’, The eyes of the LORD search the whole earth in order to strengthen those whose hearts are fully committed to him.”
Sitting at my desk this morning I am thanking God for being the ‘multi-dimensional’ being He is – always present, always knowledgeable, and always powerful.!I am thanking Him for the way He searches the whole earth in order to strengthen and the creative ways He does that. I am thanking Him for the unique ways He has in communicating with us. I am thanking Him today for “new release Friday” and for five or six CD’s that are very interesting – everything from the soundtrack to Ben Hur to a hymn-based collection of favourite groups / singers to powerful praise and worship to gentle reflective to easy listening. I am thanking Him for a few devotional articles that arrived in my ‘inbox’. I am thanking Him for words of encouragement and affirmation. I am thanking Him for the measure of health and strength and life I have. I am thanking Him for all the people in my life who are so valuable. I am thanking Him for my beautiful wife. I am thanking Him for my salvation. I am thanking Him for my calling. I am thanking Him that my calling has brought me to where I am today and the people I have the privilege of serving. I am thanking Him that He has a plan and a purpose…. I am thanking Him for simply being Him!
And as I thank Him…I am asking with confident expectation that there would be a ‘holy collision’ of His presence and His people when we gather over the weekend to celebrate our faith, share our joys and needs, laugh together and cry together, and to minister to one another. I am asking that He would ‘see’ a family of believers “whose hearts are fully committed to him”. I am asking for the ‘miracle of mercy’ to be released.
