A Church with a Heart for our Community

April 10th Wednesday

Greetings to you in the wonderful name of Jesus Christ – THE Risen Saviour! Wow! what an interesting Spring day in the Kingdom…and I know that you are probably tired of hearing this – but, this is the day that God has made and we must decide to willingly give Him praise and thanksgiving. I trust all is well in your world and you have noticed God’s presence and blessings – “presents” – all around you. Today I will be praying for you, asking Father to bring: a healing touch or a word of encouragement to or an unexpected visit or finding that something that you have been searching for or a sudden awareness of His nearness.

I suppose you know…Easter is coming! I don’t know how you prepare your heart for that but for me it is about Easter worship times…and that means listening to-with intention and attention to”music” and looking for readings / verse / quotes. This morning I cam across a new song…or two,, however one in particular caught my attention.  It is not necessarily an Easter song but the words and melody are lovely. Some of the words say – I live by faith-And not by sight-Sometimes miracles-Take time…While I wait-I will worship…While I wait-I will trust…Sometimes miracles-Take time. — Lincoln Brewster.

And I came across a few good quotes from the world of golf…not only is it Palm Sunday, it is the Master! One quote says – “The key to golf is playing one shot at a time…the key to life is living in the moment” – Morris Pickens. “Golf is a game of staying in the ‘Now’.” – Zach Johnson.  “Wherever you are, be all there.” – Jim Elliot (missionary) quoted by Stewart Cink. In a little lighter note –  “The reason we are all here, is that we are not all there” – sign in front of the Auto Guys. Although these seem a bit disjointed, if you will take some time to ponder – the story of Easter and the power of what happened is because one man dared to be focused on the “Now moment” – it says of Jesus that when the time was ready He set his focus on Jerusalem…and in that moment, you and I were on His mind.

Have a great day – be blessed!
