Greetings to you…dearly loved, highly-favored, bringing such delight…in the powerful and transforming name of Jesus Christ – The Risen Savior! What a lovely late summer day…a day that has been made by the Lord, a day that allows us to rejoice and be glad in our ongoing relationship with God – the creator. I trust that all is well in your world and with your family. I pray that you have encountered the goodness of Jesus and experienced the presence of Holy Spirit. Today I will be praying for you, asking Father to release health, strength, and a happy heart to you…be encouraged!
This past Sunday we enjoyed God’ presence as we worshiped together. I have been sharing the teaching of Paul to the believers in Colossae who were trying to live out their faith in a challenging situation. One of the exciting truths that is given to us in Colossians is the revelation of a mystery, a secret that is hidden by God. He says that God chose to make known this mystery to them and to us – that Jesus Christ, the hope of glory was alive within each believer as our divine power supply. (see Colossians 1:27).
Paul, then left them with a challenge…as you received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in him, rooted and built up in him and established in the faith, just as you were taught, abounding in thanksgiving – Colossians 2:6-7. Now, I gave the us a challenge so that we might apply what we heard…and I want to highlight it again.
Our challenge: first, once a week encourage and affirm another believer; second, once a day think of something that you are grateful for and say “thank-you” to God; third, three times a day remind yourself, and declare – “I am complete in Jesus Christ!”
Be blessed!
