Greetings to you…apple of His eye…in the beautiful, powerful, and redeeming name of Jesus Christ – THE Risen Savior! Wow! it looks like another day that the Lord has made for us coming our way. May we find reason to rejoice and be glad in this day. I trust that you are having a good week and enjoying this late winter weather. I heard someone say that they are not getting to excited yet as they don’t trust Mother Nature…and I think she is in cahoots with Old Man Winter! However, I will be praying for you this morning, asking Father to make His presence known to you in ways that you will understand so that you can respond to Him.
One of the verses that catches my attention this morning is – “I will listen to God the Lord. He has ordered peace for those who worship him.” Psalm 85:8 NCV. Imagine that “peace” in our lives is directly related to our worship of God…and in Isaiah we read – “You will keep in perfect peace him whose mind is stayed on you, because he trusts in you.” Isaiah 26:3. I believe in the power of worship and how that worship affects our lives and I understand that one of the most powerful aspects of that worship is “singing onto the Lord our heart’s cry.”
When I am in need I sing to my Provider. When I am in need of wisdom and guidance I sing to my Counsellor. When I am troubled and worried I sing to my Comforter. When I am feeling empty and discontent I sing to my Sustainer. When I mess up and fall short I sing to my Savior. When I am dealing with sickness and/or pain I sing to my Healer. It seems that worship is the best response to all that life throws my way. Worship brings together His grace and peace in a unique blend of wholeness, stability, soundness of mind, and the blessing of abundance. I believe that the most important thing that we can do as His people is to simply “worship Him” and “sing to Him” in the midst the reality of our life…
Something to ponder…be blessed
