Greetings to you in the wonderful name of Jesus Christ – THE Risen Saviour! What a beautiful morning in the Kingdom…and what a way to launch us into a long weekend and to prepare us for our worship gatherings! I trust that you have had a good week with many assurances of God’s mercy, goodness, and grace. Maybe you could take a moment or two, grab a note pad and pen, and write down one thing that you can tell your church family about this weekend. Today I am going to pray for you, asking Father to release a fresh supply of Holy Spirit to refresh and revive you.
This morning as I spent time with God and doing my morning readings…He directed my thoughts with two quotes to ponder, and I want to share them with you.
First: An intimate, conversational walk with God is available, and is meant to be normal…I assume that if you don’t find that kind of relationship with God, your spiritual life will be stunted…you can’t find life without God, and you can’t find God if you don’t know how to walk intimately with him. – John Eldredge, Restoration Year.
The second quote says: We must have frequent encounters with God that continuously re-calibrate our hearts that we might be entrusted with more and more of God. – Bill Johnson, The Resting Place.
It seems that this week, God has been trying to get my attention. He wants me to know “resting in the Lord” – that is…taking regular leisurely walks with Him is vital to growing, finding life, gaining spiritual sight and insight, and experiencing supernatural victory. Just after reading those two quotes I was directed to Exodus 14 – Moses was directed to ‘stand still’ and ‘rest’ in the Lord and He – the Lord- would fight the battle and claim the victory.
I guess there is a lot riding on developing an “intimate, conversational walk with God” – I am going to ponder that a little bit more … will you join me? Have a great weekend and be blessed, and be a blessing!
