Greetings to you in the name the “one who paid our ‘debt'”, Jesus Christ – THE Risen Saviour! What a beautiful morning in the Kingdom! I recall the words of Albert Camus – “Autumn is a second spring where every leave is a flower.” I trust that you had a grand weekend and Monday – and may the week ahead be full of God’s special delights. Today I will be praying for you, asking Father to touch your body-mind-spirit with “shalom-peace”.
Last night was our Bible study group and we are doing a video-based study called – Starting Point…a conversation about faith. The teacher, Andy Stanley, is looking at where adult faith restarts. Our study last night was based on the question: what can wash away my sin? and, of course, lead us to a person…Jesus Christ. It was very thought-provoking and I think the simplicity of how it was taught encouraged a lot of pondering.
One statement really spoke to my heart: “You are trying to pay for sin that has been paid for. Your role is to accept what has been done for you.” The whole teaching was insightful and I had a sense that many of us left for home with much n our thoughts to process. Now, it is only fitting that there would be a song – What can wash away my sin?-Nothing but the blood of Jesus! I think that I will simply “meditate” on this a while.
Have a blessed day!
