A Church with a Heart for our Community

October 14th Friday

Greetings to you in the name of the One…”who came to seek and to save the lost”, Jesus Christ – THE Risen Saviour! What a “chilly” morning in the Kingdom!.. the times they are achanging-for sure! Nevertheless, we only had to scrape and not shovel. I trust that you have had a grand week with many blessings and divine appointments that brought joy and purpose. Today I will be praying for you, asking Father to give you a weekend of delightful surprises and unexpected blessings.

I came across three verses of Scripture this week that God used to prepare my heart for a song that is on a new ‘cd’ – yes it is Friday and ‘new release day’. First: Those of us who are strong and able in the faith need to step in and lend a hand to those who falter, and not just do what is convenient for us. Strength is for service not status.  Romans 15:1 The Message. Second: Live creatively, friends. If someone falls into sin, forgivingly restore him(her), saving your critical comments for yourself. Galatians 6:1 The Message.

I believe God wanted me to look into the mirror of His Word and do some self-evaluation. As I looked at myself and my responses, God wanted me to draw me to the “how” it was possible and that is where the third verse comes: For the Son of Man came to find and restore the lost. Luke 19:10 The Message. The power to be a ‘stepper-in’ and a ‘hand-lender’ and a ‘forgiving-restorer’ and one who can keep my comments to myself — is not something I generate. I am dependent upon that power which is released in me through my relationship with Jesus Christ.

So then came a song that is acting as a ‘reinforcement’ – What a beautiful name, the name of Jesus … What a wonderful name , the name of Jesus … What a powerful name, the name of Jesus — Hillsong Music. Ah! there it is, from my relationship with Jesus I am given the authority and privilege of using the “NAME” that can, and does, transform lives – finding, saving, restoring, and giving divine intervention.Indeed, what a beautiful-wonderful-powerful name.

Have a blessed weekend – enjoy all the blessings!
